Top 5 Pitfalls to avoid when looking for Queenstown Apartments & Accommodation

When booking Queenstown apartments for your holiday, the top five pitfalls to avoid that spring to mind would be firstly ‘Noise’. Its great to have a fun filled day and party into the evening but when you want to get your well deserved rest at night you don’t want other peoples partying and constant traffic noise keeping you from getting that much needed energy recharge ready for the next day in the adventure capital. A good night sleep is top of my holiday requirements.

Queenstown Apartments – Distance, Views, Facilities and Pricing Pitfalls

Secondly would have to be ‘distance’ from the town centre, in Queenstown most activities are within walking distance of the CBD or at least their collection points so you don’t want to be miles out of town and having to hire a car or catch buses to get to where you want to be, it would be better to choose somewhere within easy walking distance to town but still distanced from all the noise and traffic.

When choosing your Queenstown apartments for accommodation and they are offering you ‘views’ of the mountains and lake, make sure they are from every room so you aren’t disappointed when you arrive in your apartment and get the view of the car park or other rooftops while the guests staying across the corridor have the stunning lake and mountain views.

Also on this train of thought accuracy of the photos portrayed on the accommodation providers website, does the photo convey the real room or apartment you will be staying in or is it their best room and you end up with a run down uncared for room.

A lot of times when I have been travelling I have been caught out with parking and other offered ‘facilities’, make sure you know what you are paying for on top of your room rate, some Queenstown apartments and accommodation providers charge you for overnight parking also internet usage and phone calls, before you realize it you have wracked up a substantial additional cost to your accommodation bill.

Last on my top 5 pitfalls list would be ‘discounted prices’ low dollar usually means low service. The old adage you get what you pay for is sadly true with some Queenstown accommodation providers. Cheap prices may be for the room that used to house brooms, no views, shared bathrooms when you would be better off at a backpackers than what you thought was going to be luxury Queenstown accommodation.
